The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced plans to pursue legal proceedings against Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and other prominent stakeholders who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Following a lengthy six-hour closed-door meeting at its national secretariat in Abuja on Tuesday, the PDP leadership instructed its National Legal Adviser to begin the process of reclaiming what they described as the party’s stolen mandate in Delta State.
A communiqué issued after the meeting outlined the party’s decision to initiate legal action aimed at regaining its political influence and electoral mandate in the state, specifically targeting Governor Oborevwori and others who transitioned to the APC. The move signifies the PDP’s commitment to fortify its position amid ongoing political shifts within the region.
