Sara-Igbe in an interview with Today FM’s Uchendu Ejiowhor said the indiscriminate removal of the NDDC management and its Board is responsible for the under development in the region.
The Niger Delta activist and Elder Statesman stated that leaders of the region had visited President Tinubu to commend him for not removing the MD of the NDDC, which he said was part of the struggle for the development and stabilization of the system.
Reacting to the recent comment by former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, describing the NDDC as a cashcow for politicians, Sara-Igbe said Wike has no moral justification to criticize NDDC, when he could not use the thirteen percent derivation meant for oil producing communities to develop the areas.
He challenged Wike to name any oil bearing community he developed with basic social amenities.
