Eze Akobundu-Ezeali who is also the patron of the Drivers Welfare Club of Nigeria, DWCN, made this disclosure when members of the club, Oyigbo chapter paid a courtesy visit to his palace.
He wondered why commercial drivers are being humiliated daily, despite their significant role in the state.
Eze Akobundu-Nwogu while reminding tax collectors that drivers are most affected by the current economic situation of the country, sued for common ground between both sectors to ensure smooth operation and proper service delivery to the public.
On his part, the chairman of Oyigbo Driver’s Welfare Club of Nigeria, CHRISTOPHER EZEALI, commended Eze Akobundu-Nwogu for his role in ensuring peace, and expressed hope that the new King and Patron will lead drivers and businesses in Oyigbo to enviable heights.
