In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde, the governor vowed to hunt down the masterminds of the assault.
The Governor said he had cut short his party’s national assignment in Abuja to visit Owo immediately.
Noting that the development was unexpected, Governor Akeredolu said the state shall never bow to the machinations of heartless elements in its resolves to rid the state of criminals.
He also commiserated with the people ofOwo, particularly the families of those who lost their lives to the ugly and unfortunate attack and extended his condolences tothe Olowo of Owo, Oba Gbadegesin Ogunoye as well as the Catholic Church.
