Our correspondent reports that the demolition which started over the weekend is being carried out by a task force from the Ministry of Urban Development.
One of the victims who spoke to our correspondent said they were not given prior notice about the demolition.
The respondent also said men of the task force go to the extent of invading private properties to demolish makeshift structures within.
The demolition in Eagle Island started over the weekend when Governor NYESOM WIKE led security operative to demolish a suspected criminal hideout in the area.
