The group president, Chinedu Onyije who made the accusation along other youths, explained that the peaceful protest was to reassure their people that they were not suspended as speculated.
He accused the special adviser to the governor on Environment of allegedly forging a letter of suspension from the ministry of youth development.
Onyije called on the state government and security agencies to come to their aid stressing that the youths will not be part of policies or actions that may destroy the already achieved peace in the area.
On his part, a stakeholder in the area Prince Onyebu-Okoro assured the protesters that the Oba of Ogba land will handle the issue and asked them remain calm.
When contacted, the commissioner for youth development, Kenneth Chisom who said the matter is being treated, dismissed claims that Prince Ohia was behind the suspension letter.
