The data represents an increase from October, indicating continued growth in internet consumption across the country.
The NCC statistics also show that Nigeria’s total number of internet subscribers rose to about 144.8 million in November, up from 142.6 million recorded in the previous month. Most of the connections came from mobile internet users, with only a small fraction from fixed and other internet services.
Broadband subscriptions also increased slightly, moving from about 108.6 million in October to 109.7 million in November, pushing broadband penetration just above the 50 per cent mark. This, however, remains below the 70 per cent target set in the National Broadband Plan.
The rise in data usage comes despite recent increases in telecom tariffs, suggesting sustained demand for internet services driven by digital communication, business activities, entertainment, and online services.
The NCC says it continues to monitor network performance and quality of service as data consumption and subscriber numbers grow nationwide.
