Osimhen’s father was said to have died at age eighty in Lagos on Saturday after a brief illness.
In the meantime; the Nigeria Football Federation has expressed grief over the passing of the father of Victor Osimhen.
President of the NFF, Amaju Pinnick, reacting to the news said he has spoken to Victor Osimhen and expressed the sorrow of the NFF and the entire Nigerian Football family over the death of his father.
Pinnick said Lille OSC of France has given Osimhen a private aircraft to come to Nigeria to be with his family and probably for the burial rites and disclosed that the NFF has applied for a landing permit to enable Osimhen come into the country which is yet to be granted.
