The Rivers State Police Command has paraded suspected criminals involved in what is known as one chance robbery activities within Choba-Obiri Ikwerre axis of the East West road.


The three suspects include a female identified as Chidinma Eze, Edwin Chibuike Okike, and chukwudi ani were arrested within Rumuosi in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of the state.


The command Public Relations Officer Nnamdi Omoni in a statement said the suspects were arrested, after successfully robbing one Simon Ibrahim who was on his way to make deposit in the Bank, but luck ran out on them when the victim raised alarm that alerted the Police.


SP Omoni said the Commissioner of Police, CP Eboka Friday has directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police, in charge of the State CID to take over the investigation and ensure that their colleagues are arrested and prosecuted.

Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has ordered the demolition of illegal sprawling market   along the axis of Elele Alimini and Ahoada Towns of the East-West Road in the State.
