Local governments Chairmen in Rivers State scored low after 2 years in office

Inhabitants of communities across the 23 local government Areas of the state have continued to score the performance of the Local Government Chairmen in 2 years in office across the state.

Few days after the people of Ikwerre, Emohua and Akuku Areas spoke on the performance of their council authorities; communities in Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State commended the Executive Chairman of the Council, Ifeanyi Victor Odili for the projects executed in the area.


Some of the respondents including the Chairmen of Community Development Committee and James Isinka, Goodluck Ugwor and Albert Ajie who are stakeholders in the various communities, said the projects in their areas have direct impacts in the lives of the people.


Rivers State Coordinator of National Youth Service Corps who was represented by an Assistant Director, Julie Obianika who spoke at an event in Onelga to mark the completion of two years office, described the corpers Lodge built by the chairman at Egbema and Ndoni as magnificent.


Chairman of ONELGA, Ifeanyi Victor Odili, in his remarks, said he chose to embark on people oriented projects to meet immediate needs of the people.


Our correspondent reports that a six classroom block and Corpers lodges in Mgbede and Omuku, Water projects are among other projects executed by the council Chairman.
