NDDC supports Covid-19 fight in 9 states of the region

The Niger-Delta Development Commission, NDDC has said it deployed funds to the 9 Niger-Delta states for the procurement of medical equipment to curb the coronavirus pandemic in the region.

Acting Managing Director of NDDC, Professor Kemebra-Dikumo Pondei said this during the flag-off of the distribution of medical supplies and relief materials to contain the spread of Covid Nineteen in the region held in Port Harcourt.


Professor Pondei said the desire of the NDDC is to complement President Muhammadu Buhari’s efforts to ensure that the people of Niger-Delta have quality healthcare delivery amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.


On his part, Chairman of NDDC’s palliative distribution committee, Sobomabo Jackreech wondered why all activities of NDDC are politicized especially as it concerns the distribution of welfare packages for Niger-Delta people.
