The Rivers State House of Assembly has approved a request for Governor NYESOM WIKE to appoint five additional special advisers. The letter conveying the request of the governor was read on the floor of the House in plenary by the Speaker, IJUNYI IGBANI.

The Rivers State House of Assembly has approved a request for Governor NYESOM WIKE to appoint five additional special advisers. The letter conveying the request of the governor was read on the floor of the House in plenary by the Speaker, IJUNYI IGBANI. The additional request brings to seventeen Special Advisers to be appointed by Governor WIKE over the past three days.
The Speaker said the latest appointments add up to twenty special advisers so far appointed by the State Governor. Correspondent VICTOR EZEAMA reports that the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria also presented a petition to the Rivers State House of Assembly seeking to stop the planned election of a new leadership for the union. The matter has been referred to the House Committee on Public Petitions and Judiciary.
