Ethiopia is facing impending food crisis that could cause more than seven hundred and thirty thousand people, who are mainly refugees, to go hungry. To this end; the authorities are looking for relief assistance to the tune of fifty-five million dollars to avert the looming disaster. 

Ethiopia is facing impending food crisis that could cause more than seven hundred and thirty thousand people, who are mainly refugees, to go hungry. To this end; the authorities are looking for relief assistance to the tune of fifty-five million dollars to avert the looming disaster.  Ethiopia’s Deputy Director of Refugee Affairs, AYALEW AWOKE, said the United States has donated twenty million dollars, which he said would be exhausted by the end of December. Ethiopia has been hit by a major drought in its eastern and north-eastern areas and has appealed for five hundred and ninety-six million dollars to feed its own population.
