The need for all commercial vehicle operators in Rivers state to paint their vehicles in line with the state policy of blue-white-blue may soon be reinforced.

This follows a motion by the member representing Khana Constituency two, NGBOR PIKOLO seeking for the mandatory enforcement of the policy.

The lawmaker moved the motion during plenary at the Rivers state House of Assembly.

Other members of the Assembly including member representing Abua-Odula, SOLOMON SOKOLO during debate said the mandatory reinforcement of blue-white-blue for commercial vehicles in the state is important because it helps to check insecurity.

The House resolved to liaise with the Ministry of Transportation on the status of the Rivers State Commercial Vehicles Colour and numbering which was introduced over ten years ago.

Our correspondent VICTOR EZEAMA reports that the House also took presentations of Committee reports before adjourning plenary till Thursday this week.
