A cross section of Nigerians has kicked against President MUHAMMADU BUHARI's assent to the Finance Law.

Some respondents in their reaction said the Finance Law will cause inflation and automatic increase in prices of goods and services.

Others said the existence of the Law has reduced the new national minimum wage to a Greek gift.

President MUHAMMADU BUHARI on Monday signed the 2019 finance bill into law.

The law is aimed at reforming Nigeria’s tax system to align with global best practices, support MSMEs through the Ease of Doing Business initiative.

The Finance Law, 2019 also hopes to raise government revenues, as well as incentivize investments in infrastructure and capital markets.
