Women caught for child trafficking in Portharcourt

Detectives at the Mile Three Police Division in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers State are investigating two women for alleged child trafficking.

A woman and two of her gang members are alleged to have stolen three children, two females and a male around Nkpolu Community in mile three Diobu Port Harcourt and sold them out to another woman in Anambra State.

A senior police officer attached to Mile three Police Station who confirmed the incident to our correspondent said two of the victims have been recovered by the police while one is yet to be seen. 

In the meantime, a new Divisional Police Officer has resumed work at the Mile three Divisional police Headquarters following the arrest and detention of the former DPO and four of his men over the killing of a wheelbarrow pusher.

Our correspondent who visited the police station gathered that six months after the DPO who received his promotion inside the police cell and four of his men, they have remained under investigation at the State Criminal Investigation Department.
