Rivers state government releases Junior WAEC certificates

The Rivers State Ministry of Education says the Basic Education Certificate Examination is out for collection.

The Permanent Secretary Ministry of Education, DAGOGO ADONYE-HART who made this known said the certificates are to be collected from the director of exams and records.

He disclosed that a total number of sixty nine thousand four hundred and fifty students sat for the exams in two hundred and ninety two public schools and five hundred and eighty nine private schools.

The permanent secretary said the date for re-sit of the Junior WAEC examinations for those who failed the four core subjects will be made public in due course.

Also speaking, the Special Adviser to Governor NYESOM WIKE on ICT, ASAWO IBIFURO said the schools which have been give accreditation can be checked online through the Rivtamis platform.

Our correspondent reports that the subjects for receipts are Mathematics English Basic science and Social studies.
