All data of Nigerians will be harmonized says NIMC boss

The National Identity Management Commission, NIMC has said it is working towards harmonizing Nigeria’s data base into its system.

Director General of the Commission, ALIYU AZIZ said this while speaking with the media in Abuja.

AZIZ disclosed that the NIMC has started including information of Nigerians that are stored through details available in the Bank Verification Code which is the only platform that can identify citizens of the country.


AZIZ also said the Commission has made arrangements for Nigerians in diaspora to register and obtain their National Identification Numbers wherever they are resident outside the country.


ALIYU AZIZ is the Director-General of the National Identity Management Commission, NIMC.
