Gov. Dickson stops Isenah's impeachment

Bayelsa state Governor SERIAKE DICKSON has intervened in the crisis trailing the move by the state's House of Assembly to impeach its former Speaker, TONYE ISENAH.

The timely move of Governor DICKSON led the House to halt its decision to impeach ISENAH and accept a letter of resignation from him.

The former speaker in the letter expressed his gratitude to the governor and people of the state as well as his colleagues in the legislature for their support while he was in service.

ISENAH further stated that his resignation was influenced by the need to maintain peace and order in the state.
