SAN’s: Thirty-one Lawyers Join Ranks, High Profile Citizens Dominates List

Thirty-one additional lawyers, including two State Attorneys-General and Commissioners of Justice, have joined the ranks of Senior Advocates of Nigeria.

 

The Commissioners appointed SANs are Mosediq Adeniji Kazeem of Lagos State, and Adekola Adeyeye Olawole of Ondo State.

 

The incoming SANs include Professor Mohammed Mustapha Akanbi, who is the son of former Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission, ICPC, late Justice Mustapha Akanbi.

 

Another prominent name in the list is the Vice Chancellor of the Lagos State University, Professor Olarenwaju Adigun Fagbohun.

 

The list of thirty new Senior Advocates of Nigeria was approved at the plenary meeting of the Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee.

 

A statement released by the Secretary of the Committee indicates that the new SANs would be inaugurated on 24th September, during a ceremony at the Supreme Court in Abuja to mart the commencement of the new legal year.
