RIVERS STATE POLICE COMMAND HAS RESTRICTED MOVEMENT ON THE ELECTION DAY

Fifteen thousand security personnel would be on duty during the local government elections in Rivers State tomorrow.

 

The Rivers state Police Command has also announce a restriction of movement across the state during the period of the elections, from 7AM to 4PM.

 

The Commissioner of Police, Zaki Ahmed, said the decision was adopted at an exhaustive security meeting, with heads of all the security agencies in the state in attendance.

 

The Commissioner of Police, while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the meeting, said politicians are also barred from moving about with security operatives on Election Day.
