PROSECUTE OSHOMHOLE BISHOP OSADOLOR TELLS COURT
A Federal High Court in Abuja has been asked to order the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to prosecute former Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole.
The request was made in an exparte motion filed by one Bishop Osadolor Ochei, seeking to have the EFCC to prosecute Oshiomhole for alleged corruption while in office as Governor.
Ochie wants the EFCC to put the former Governor and frontline candidate for National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress on trial based on a petition that goes back to October, 2016.
The petitioner told the court that he had severally complained to the EFCC about allegations of corrupt practices against Oshiomhole without any response from the anti-graft agency.
He made reference to a mansion allegedly built by the former Governor while in office, which he claims is worth more than his legitimate income as Governor at the time.
The matter is before Justice Abdul Kafarati but no date has been fixed for hearing.
