Abia state Governor OKEZIE IKPEAZU has declared a three-day curfew in the commercial city of Aba following heightened tension.

This is because members of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB led by NNAMDI KANU are currently involved in a face-off with the Nigerian army.

The curfew starts from 6pm to 6am on Tuesday and is expected to end on Thursday.

Recall that the Abia State Government had urged the Nigerian Army to undertake its Operation Python Dance with caution just as it urged residents of the state to desist from confronting armed men in uniform while performing their duties.
