The Management of the Niger Delta Development Commission has been called to intervene in an alleged fund diversion within the medical department of the commission.

Our correspondent gathered that one VERONICA EGEOJURU had applied for a medical intervention fund to be used for a surgery on her daughter who was born without vital organs.

EGEOJURU told our correspondent in an interview that the fund has since been approved by the management of the NDDC but some persons within the medical department have been making it difficult for her to access the money.

While narrating her experience on the circumstances surrounding the fund, EGEOJURU wants the commission to intervene in the matter.

Meanwhile; the Medical Director of the hospital where the fund is said to have been transferred to refused to speak on the matter when she was contacted by our correspondent.
