The leadership of the Ohaneze Ndigbo says no said no group can stop it from staging the 2017 Igbo Day celebration in Port Harcourt or any part of the country.

Secretary-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, UCHE OKWUKWU gave the assurance while reacting to recent opposition by the leadership of Ogbako Ikwere Cultural Orgainization against the hosting of the event in Port Harcourt. .

OKWUKWU who spoke in an interview with correspondent VICTOR EZEAMA said the Ogbakor Ikwerre group was merely playing to the gallery.

The Secretary-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo said the event will not being tamper with the cultural heritage of the Ikwerre people and other ethnic groups in Rivers state.

 

The Igbo Day has been scheduled to hold in Port Harcourt on September 29, 2017.
