it is now at the discretion of the Federal Government to determine when to end the strike embarked upon by the National Association of Resident Doctors.

This followed the signing of a renegotiated Memorandum of Terms of Settlement between both sides, during a meeting yesterday with the Minister of Labour and Employment and his Health counterpart on one hand, and representatives of NARD.

The resolutions provides for the payment of outstanding entitlements of the residents doctors and a guarantee that none of their members would be victimized for taking part in the strike.

Addressing newsmen after the meeting, the Labour Minister, Doctor CHRIS NGIGE said it was agreed that NARD would take decision back to their members and await actions from the government.

The leadership of the National Association of Resident Doctors is expected to return to brief members of the association on the development.
