Defense HQtrs commence investigations on Navy-Police clash in Calabar.

The Defence Headquarters in Abuja has set up a committee to investigate the recent clash between officials of the navy and police in Calabar, Cross River State, which claimed the life of some persons.

The Director of Defence Information, Major-General JOHN ENENCHE said the mandate of the committee include to recommend sanctions against anyone indicted in the crisis.

 

ENENCHE said the panel comprises of senior officers from the Nigerian Army, the Nigerian Air Force and the Nigerian Navy.
