The CLO said it believes that this falls short of standards of functional opposition which must be absolutely constructive and ideology based in its engagements.
In a statement by its State Publicity and Research Secretary, LIVINGSTONE WECHIE, the CLO said an alternative government provides superior ideas that makes the masses and the media to take sides with it.
WECHIE frowned at campaigning and condemning the completion of abandoned and uncompleted projects by the immediate past administration, describing it as counter-productive and completely out of order.
The statement also decried what it described as the wave of hate speeches, bickering, circulation of falsehood contained in press releases thus undermining political rights of stakeholders.
The CLO said this only suggests elitist interest and nothing for the unsuspecting masses, stressing that referring to the seating Governor as Caretaker Governor who will soon be thrown out does not portray the opposition as responsible.
The civil society group also warned the sitting government that they must step up action in throwing more light on their policies and programmes through the integrated media and other fora, noting that this is the only way that stakeholders can be carried along.
