President MUHAMMADU BUHARI has ordered that the Ministry of Defence be included in the probe of procurement of military hardware and munitions over the past nine years, beginning from 2007.

President MUHAMMADU BUHARI has ordered that the Ministry of Defence be included in the probe of procurement of military hardware and munitions over the past nine years, beginning from 2007.
The National Security Adviser, BABAGANA MONGUNO had set up the eleven-man committee headed by retired Air Vice Marshal J.O.N. ODE based on the directive of President BUHARI.
President BUHARI gave the fresh directive when the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, Alhaji ISMAILA ALIYU led other officials in a briefing at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
ALIYU  told State House Correspondents that the Ministry's officials were satisfied with the briefing.
ISMALIA ALIYU also said the President was deeply concerned that the Military was not properly equipped.
