A group of youth leaders across Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area communities known as the ONELGA Youth Executive Session has called on NLNG to reverse its plans and site the multi-million naira facility in Ndoni in Rivers State. The president of the group, KINGSLEY OGWUMIKE made the call while addressing youths against the backdrop of what they described as negligence and ill-treatment of the communities in ONELGA by the NLNG. OGWUMIKE who claimed that ONELGA is a major contributor to the NLNG said the rights and privileges of the host communities should be given to them. The group also summoned a native of ONELGA, Doctor KUDO ERESIA-EKE, who is a manager in NLNG, for an explanation over the happenings in the gas company. The youth leader also used the opportunity to call on all warring factions of youth bodies in ONELGA and every cult group to embrace peace, stressing that body caught threatening the peace of the area would be handed over to security agencies. Correspondent LEVI ISU reports that the peace meeting was well attended by ONELGA youths.
