Security surveillance in Rivers State has received a boost with the donation of sixty-four patrol vehicles to the State Police Command and other security agencies. Also, men of the state police command have been promised five million naira compensation to their families in the event they loss their life in the line of duty.

 

Security surveillance in Rivers State has received a boost with the donation of sixty-four patrol vehicles to the State Police Command and other security agencies. Also, men of the state police command have been promised five million naira compensation to their families in the event they loss their life in the line of duty. The offers were made by Governor NYESOM WIKE, who also promised one million naira for any individual who assist the police with useful information on the activities of criminals operating in the state. The Inspector General of Police, SOLOMON ARASE who received the donation on behalf of the Rivers State Police Command, commended the state government for the gesture.

Correspondent VICTOR EZEAMA reports that thirty-four of the patrol vehicles are to be assigned to the Joint Task Force.
