Our correspondent JAMES IGAH reports that the tribunal took the decision on the ground that the APGA petition was incompetent due to improper filing procedure.
In his reaction after the ruling, APGA’s counsel, ALEX EGBARO said he was dissatisfied, adding that his clients were denied fair hearing.
EGBARO accused the tribunal of double standard, and that the ruling would be appealed by his clients.
The decision of the Rivers State Governorship Election Tribunal is also not going down well with the governorship candidate of the APGA.
Reacting to dismissal of his care in an interview with our correspondent in Port Harcourt, CHARLES HARRY of the APGA said the tribunal gave a ruling on a matter that was not before it.
CHARLES HARRY said following the development he has lost confidence in the leadership of the election tribunal
The APGA Governorship candidate alleged that the decision of the tribunal is a deliberate attempt to delay the dispensation of justice.
CHARLES HARRY reminded the people of Rivers State that he was not at the tribunal to unseat the PDP Administration or to enthrone an APC Government, but to correct the lapses that set the stage for irregularities during the last governorship election.
