A former Senator for Rivers South-East, MAGNUS ABE, says the implementation of the UNEP Report on the cleanup of Ogoni land will mark the fulfillment of the campaign promise of the All Progressives Congress to the people.

Senator ABE, who is seeking to return to the Senate in the yet to be concluded re-run election, said the APC deserves commendation from Ogoni people and not condemnation for the UNEP Report implementation.Senator ABE, whose remarks on a radio programmed in Port Harcourt were captured in a statement released by his spokesman, said it was wrong for the Rivers PDP to claim the Ogoni cleanup was being politicized.
Senator ABE advised that Rivers politics would be better if the people learn to give credit to a party that fulfilled its campaign promise.
ABE noted that it was to the credit of the PDP that Governor NYESOM WIKE flagged off the construction of Saakpenwa-Kono road.
