Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has assured that the Ogbakiri Town road project, being constructed by Julius Berger Nigeria PLC, will be completed within eight months due to its socio-economic importance to the local communities.

The road dualization project will connect six communities within Ogbakiri Town and will end at the waterside of the Egbelu-Oduoha-Ogbakiri communities.

Governor Fubara, who conducted an inspection of the road project to the waterside, explained that his administration awarded the project at an estimated cost of fifteen billion naira and had already paid a thirty percent mobilization fee to the contractor to ensure the delivery of a durable and accessible road for the people.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Governor Fubara reaffirmed his commitment to improving the quality of life for all residents of the state, emphasizing that the people of Ogbakiri Town will not be left out.

He also highlighted plans to connect the road with a river-crossing bridge, linking the Egbelu-Oduoha-Ogbakiri communities to other riverine areas on the opposite side.

Governor Fubara assured Rivers residents that his administration is dedicated to delivering the best for the people, aiming to leave them eternally grateful for their support.

The governor also made a stop at Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic in Rumuola, Port Harcourt, where several ongoing projects, including an Entrepreneurship Centre, Staff Offices, and a Senate Building, were being carried out.
