Rivers LG poll: Former Army chief Minimah lauds Gov. Fubura for successful exercise

Former chief of army staff of the Nigerian Army, retired Lieutenant General Kenneth Minimah has commended Rivers State governor Siminilayi Fubara for ensuring that the local government elections were held.

General Minimah in a press statement noted that the just concluded local government election was a significant milestone for the state and the governor's administration as he urged Governor Fubara to remain resolute in steering the state towards greater development.

The former army chief also commended Rivers State independent electoral Commission, political parties and all candidates for conducting themselves peacefully and also charged all elected officials to prioritize the welfare of the people.

The statement also called on the people of Rivers State to continue to work with the Governor noting that the only way to critical and speedy development is through unity.
