The Nigerian Army says that the ongoing operations against crude oil theft in the Niger Delta are achieving the desired results.

The General Officer Commanding Six Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Jamal Abdussalam, noted that the positive impact is evident in the increased terminal factor and assured that the Division will maintain this progress.

This reassurance came during a courtesy call from retired Major General Jamil Sarham, CEO of New Guard Security and Consultancy Services (NGSCS) Limited, at the Division's Headquarters in Port Harcourt Barracks.

Abdussalam highlighted that the Government has set a benchmark of two million barrels per day for oil production, stressing that this goal must be achieved.

In a statement from the Acting Deputy Director of 6 Division Army Public Relations confirmed that the Division is actively engaged in various operations to meet this target.

Abdussalam also disclosed that the Division is working closely with Private Security Companies, whose support has significantly enhanced operations in the region.
