National leaders of the All Progressives Congress, led by the Acting National Chairman, SEGUN ONI, have arrived in Port Harcourt on a visit to Rivers State.
Members of the APC National Working Committee were received at the Port Harcourt International Airport, from where they moved to Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area, which has seen the most killings in the upsurge of violence in the state.Our correspondent gathered that the ruling party officials at the federal level are also likely to visit the Ogoni axis of Rivers State where soldiers clashed with armed militants recently, leading to lose of lives and destruction of properties.The visit by the APC national leaders may not be unconnected with the intensification of campaigns for the re-run federal and state legislative elections across the state.
