The youth president of Igbu-Akoh kingdom in Ahaoda East Local Government Area of Rivers State, Richard Igboo has partly blamed the continued insecurity in the area on security agencies failing to be proactive in the fight against criminality.

Igboo said the Nigerian Police is the only active force fighting cultists and other criminals in the area.

Igboo, in an interview with Today FM’s Sandra Kenneth said other security agencies have failed to join in the fight to eliminate crime in Ahoada.

The youth leader also highlighted that the distance of the Ahaoda Police Station from the kingdom is a challenge to the people.

Igboo, whose public relation officer was kidnapped last week by criminals in the area, stated that Akoh kingdom is vulnerable at night due to lack of security presence.
