Fuel Scarcity Looms In Rivers
The Petroleum Product Retail Outlet Owners Association of Nigeria has confirmed an imminent fuel scarcity in Rivers State.
State Chairman of PETROAN, Francis Dimkpa said the supply of fuel by the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation Limited has since the last two weeks drastically reduced.
Dimkpa in an interview with Today FM’s Ifunanya Obeme-Ndukwe claimed no more than thirty trucks of fuel have been able to load petrol at the depots since on Monday.
He said marketers are uncertain if the scarcity is from NNPC or depot owners in the state.
Dimkpa accused officers of NNPC in Rivers State of being unprofessional in their duty.
The state PETROAN Chairman however called on the Managing Director of NNPC, Mele Kyari to put his search light in Rivers State, to find out the true situation of things.
