EFCC Inaugurates Zero Tolerance, Integrity Clubs
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has inaugurated a Zero Tolerance Club at the University of Port Harcourt.
Zonal Commander EFCC, Port Harcourt Command, Ahmed Gali said the EFCC launched the zero tolerance club to prevent youths from further engaging in corrupt practices.
Gali said the approach has been productive, and noted that the campaign cuts across primary and secondary schools, as well as other sections of the society.
The EFCC Zonal Commander, Port Harcourt Command also said the anti-graft agency is using this strategy, which is a more proactive approach, to reduce cybercrimes among young people, a method he said will achieve more results, rather than raiding homes.
On his part; the Dean of Student’s Affair at Uniport, Professor Chima Wokocha commended the EFCC for the initiative, noting that corruption is best fought from the grassroots.
Some students who pledged to be members of the club also spoke about their reasons for joining the Zero Tolerance Club.
