SUPERVISING AIGP IN RIVERS STATE, KAYODE EGBETOKUN CAUTIONS TROUBLE MAKERS AHEAD OF SATURDAY'S ELECTIONS
A supervising Assistant Inspector General of Police in Rivers State, AIG Kayode Egbetokun has warned trouble makers and anyone with the intention of causing mayhem during Saturdays Governorship and House of Assembly elections to steer clear.
Aig Egbetokun gave the warning in a media conference at the command Headquarters, Moscow road, where he warned that the Police will deal decisively with criminal elements who want to disrupt the election.
The AIG who assured that the Police and other sister agencies have made adequate deployment to ensure a hitch free election, cautioned against fake news, hate speech and other activities inimical to peace before during and after the elections.
He urged members of the public especially the electorate not to panic, but come out and vote any candidate of their choice without any form of intimidation.
Today FM’s Uchendu Ejiowhor reports that Rivers State has a new Supervising Assistant Inspector General of Police and four new Supervising commissioners of Police to take charge of the affairs of the elections on Saturday.
