Lulu-Briggs who spoke to newsmen immediately after the attack said he and his team got a report that the Accord party secretariat at Igbo-Etche was attacked by a PDP gang, and they were on their way to the place when gunmen opened fire on them.

The Accord Governorship Candidate said the hoodlums shot at them, while also pelting stones and bottle at is team, leaving his bulletproof vehicle damaged.

Lulu-Briggs who further expressed sadness over the turn of events in Rivers State, described the state as a jungle and lawless.

When contacted the Rivers State Police command Public Relations officer, Grace Iringe-Koko said the command is aware of the incident,and promised to make public details of the incident soon.
