FG, Google partner to curb Nigerians from using YouTube for hate, false speech
The Federal Government has urged Google to deny IPOB and others using using its platform for acts of violence and destabilization.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed who made the request when a team from Google visited him in Abuja on Thursday, expressed delight that both the Federal Government and Google share the same concern on the responsible use of Social Media.
Lai Mohammed also urged the search engine to collaborate with it to curb the excesses of subversive YouTube channels which are used to spread hate and disinformation against the country.
