Rivers Primary Health Care Board embark on mass vaccination in public places

Vaccine hesitancy has been identified by the World Health Organization as one of the major challenges facing the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

In order to achieve better response to the vaccination exercise, the Rivers State Primary Health Care Management Board, has embarked on mass vaccination in major markets and motor parks in the state.

Yesterday, the agency in collaboration with journalists carried out a vaccination exercise at the Mile 3 market park.

Some participants who spoke to Today FM’s Ifunanya Obeme-Ndukwe, said work schedule, amongst other reasons are why they were unable to take the vaccine earlier.

They also expressed confidence in the efficacy of the vaccine.

Another participant who was at the vaccination ground for her second dose, advised Nigerians to take the vaccine and avoid rush hour just like the case of the registration of the National Identity Number.
