Despite state government's ban on street trading and illegal motor parking, some traders have continued to flout the order.

Todayfm Sandra Kenneth reports that traders around the rumuagholu axis of Rumuokoro roundabout have been selling along the road.

Some traders were seen trading and still bringing more goods to the road which is also adding to traffic around the road.

Reacting to this, coordinator of the reformed taskforce on street trading and illegal motor park Felix Nmadubeyi has expressed dissatisfaction over what he described as Rivers traders stubbornness to obeying orders

He said Rivers people are fond of flouting orders as he stressed that he has devised new means to ensure compliance to state government directives.

On the issue of street trading around rumuokoro,he highlighted that traders around Port Harcourt and obio akpor have continued to trade on street despite their measures to stop.

He also reassured Rivers people of his willingness to ensure a cleaner state as he maintained that his men has gone through reorientation on a peaceful means to ensure that the state government's orders are obeyed especially in Port Harcourt.
