Police burst illegal factory producing adulterated products in Port Harcourt

Operatives of the Rivers State Police Command have raided an illegal factory which engages in the production of adulterated products in Mile two Diobu, Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The police arrested four persons during the raid yesterday.

The command's Public Relations Officer, Nnamdi Omoni who addressed newsmen at the scene of the crime said the operation was based on credible information from members of the public.

Omoni said the activities of the illegal refiners are responsible for the recent fire incidents that resulted to loss of lives and properties in parts of the state.

One of the suspects who spoke to newsmen claimed that they have a license to buy and sell the products.

Today FM's Uchendu Ejiowhor reports that the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Friday Eboka has set up a team to ensure that bunkery activities are brought to an end in the state.
