Port Harcourt residents see no change one year after End SARS protest

It is now one year since the disbandment of the Special Anti Robbery Squad SARS after a nationwide protest against Police brutality.

Several States in the country joined the protest including Rivers State and the former Inspector General of the Nigeria Police Force, Adamu Muhammed yielded to pressure to disband the special unit.

The government also commissioned panels of inquiry into police brutality and also sets up another special police unit known as special weapon tactical team, SWAT

But some Port Harcourt residents said nothing has changed in the activities of police officers despite the change of name.
