The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Abdulrasheed Bawa was at the Lagos High Court in Ikeja today for the trial of an oil marketer, Abubakar Ali Peters over an alleged seven hundred and sixty one million naira subsidy.

Bawa is the star witness in the case of Abubakar who is being tried by the EFCC alongside his company, Nadabo Energy Limited before Justice Sedoten Ogunsanya.

But the proceedings could go ahead today following the absence of the defense counsel.

The defendant, Abubakar who was present in court told the judge that his counsel was to fly into Lagos from Kaduna but he could not tell why he was not in court.
