As the traffic situation in Port Harcourt metropolis deteriorates, residents are now complaining about the unavailability of marshals of the Federal Road Safety Corp to help  control traffic on the roads.

Some respondents who spoke to Today FM  said the FRSC has been dormant as they do not feel their impact in the city, saying their duty has been over taken by the Rivers state Taskforce.

But reacting to this, in a chat with Today FM's Ifunanya Obeme-Ndukwe, the Sector Commander of the FRSC, Rivers State, Corp Commander Salisu Galadunchi disagreed with the complaints, but said the FRSC cannot be able to cover the whole of the city because of the simultaneous constructions going on.

Corp Commander Galadunci said FRSC is not static in its operations, but assured that special patrol vehicles have been assigned to the most affected areas.
