Do more for the people-Wike

Ahead of the April 17 Council elections, Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has advised the Local Government Chairmen and the Councillors of Kalabari people to do more for the people if reelected.

Governor WIKE who spoke during the commissioning of projects including a Stadium built by Akuku Toru Counsil Chairman, promised that he will ensure that contracts are given to the Indigenes as a means of empowerment to the people.




The Governor who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Emeka Woke commended Akuku Toru People for standing by his administration, assuring that the sacrifice of those who lost their lives in Abonnima during the last general elections will not be taken for granted.




He further reiterated that the Local Government Council Chairmen should ensure security for the contractors handling the Trans-Kalabari road.





The AKULGA Council Chairman, Rowland Sekibo in his address said the projects executed in the area was part of the lessons learnt from the Governor of the state who he said has demostrated his love for the people.
